The company is represented internationally as a lighting specialist with almost 50 partners worldwide and subsidiaries in the USA, the Netherlands and the UK. For quality reasons, production takes place in Germany.

Initial situation
The JK Group, a leading company in the wellness, lifestyle and healthcare sectors, is a prime example of how efficient personnel cost planning for international teams can contribute to a company’s success. The company, which produces exclusively in Germany, exports its high-quality products to over 50 countries worldwide with great success. This global success is supported by a nationwide presence in the form of sales companies and partners.
In view of this global expansion, the JK Group was faced with the challenge of implementing international personnel cost planning for its employees in Germany and internationally. This strategic personnel cost planning is of central importance to the company. The previous operational workforce planning with Excel was no longer up to date in view of the company’s growing structure. In particular, the integration and precise mapping of employee data from Germany and Switzerland, which was already being managed efficiently with SAP HCM, required an innovative solution.
How can such a diverse system landscape be consolidated into a joint decentralized personnel cost planning system?
JK Group opted for the SaaS solution from CubeServ: PeoplePLAN, with which both SAP HCM could be connected via available interfaces and data from third-party systems could be integrated via flat file upload.
Project goals
JK Group had defined the most important project objectives in advance:
- Transparency: Planning should provide an overview of planned capacities and costs at all times and also be able to compare scenarios.
- Fast implementation time: It should be possible to implement personnel cost planning without a long project duration.
- Highest accuracy: Regular generation of planning data based on actual values to create accurate projections.
- Simplicity: Intuitive, web-based front end with integrated reporting functionality for high user acceptance.
Result and benefit
It was important to the JK Group to go live with personnel cost planning as quickly as possible, which was achieved within an implementation period of just six weeks.
This was only possible through the use of directly available SaaS software, for which the interface to SAP HCM was only configured once for the national companies in Germany and Switzerland. Onboarding was carried out for the JK Group and the HR data of the other national companies was integrated into the personnel cost planning tool via import.
